WAUSAU (WAOW)--More than a hundred people grabbed their bows and arrows and headed to Rib Mountain Bowmen's archery shoot. It was an indoor and outdoor traditional archery event. Everyone used non-mechanical bows, many of them homemade.
The non-competitive shoot lets archers practice their craft in their 3-D course. The target range took numerous hours to complete. "They bring over their Christmas trees that are left over and dig up sticks and try to make it as challenging as possible without making it dangerous," says President of Wisconsin Traditional Archers, Bob Daigle.
Rib Mountain Bowmen's plans to host another traditional archery shoot in March. For more information you can visitwww.wistradarchers.com
