WESTON (WAOW) - The Central Wisconsin Baseball Hall of Fame opened it's doors to a 4-man class of 2010.
The 8th annual induction ceremony was held at Dale's Weston lanes Thursday evening.
Newsline 9's own Bryon Graff served as MC.
Brewers radio announcer Cory Provus was the key-note speaker.
Being enshrined was Tom Lechnir, a Mosinee native who's racked up 941 wins, 22 conference crowns, and a pair of national titles as a player, assistant, and 21-year head coach at UW-Oshkosh.
Former minor league catcher Louis "Bud" Heyman is inducted posthumously. His son Bill represented Lou.
Ron Carpenter started the Wausau-area all-star team program...now known as the "Wisconsin River Rats"...30 years ago. They've won over 70 tournaments since then.
Dan Thompson set records as a player at both Wausau West and with the legion team back in the early 70's. He has been a coach in the area for over a decade now.
