Jennings wins Rookie of Month award for third straight month
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings is the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for the third consecutive time.
The 10th overall pick of the draft won the award for January on Monday and has been tabbed with the honor every month this season for games played in October-November and in December.
Jennings started all 15 games in January for the Bucks, averaging 14.2 points and 6.6 assists. Jennings also had his second career double-double with 18 points and 13 assists on Jan. 23 against the Timberwolves.
He joins Raymond Felton (2005-06), Al Horford (2007-08) and Derrick Rose (2008-09) as three-time winners of the monthly award that began in the 2005-06 season.
No player has ever won it more than three times in a season.
