Sex offender guilty in triple homicides

JANESVILLE (AP) -- A Janesville sex offender is guilty of killing a mother and her two teenage children.

Jurors have found James Koepp guilty of three counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the deaths of 38-year-old Danyetta Lentz, her 17-year-old daughter, Nicole, and her 14-year-old son, Scott. He faces mandatory life in prison.

Lentz's father discovered his daughter and grandchildren's bodies in the trailer they shared on the city's outskirts in January 2007. They had been stabbed and strangled.

Koepp, 51, lived behind Lentz in the same trailer park. Prosecutors said blood from all three victims was on his clothes.

Jurors deliberated for less than two hours before reaching their verdict.
