STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -- Stevens Point school board members want taxpayers to know exactly where their money will go if a referendum is passed this April.
They're asking voters to approve the $7.1 million proposal to pay for about 20 full-time teaching positions, extracurriculars and the elementary music program.
The district faces a $7.4 million deficit going into next school year, and if the referendum isn't passed, those are some of the cuts they're looking at.
26 public information sessions will be held between now and election day.
