DEVELOPING: School Board decides to close elementary school to save money

WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW)--The Wisconsin Rapids School Board decided to close an elementary school in an effort to cut costs.

During a board meeting on Thursday night, officials decided to close Pitsch Elementary and restructure the junior high school system. The kindergartners through fifth-graders will be split between Howe and Washington schools and all 6th and 7th graders will go to West Junior High School while all 8th and 9th graders will go to East Junior High building.
