James D. Seehafer, 51, of Wausau, died Tuesday February 16, 2010 at home.

He was born September 18, 1958 in Wausau to the late Herbert and Jeanette (Heyer) Seehafer. Jim graduated from Wausau East High School in 1977 and UW Lacrosse in 1981 with a Business Degree. On Aug. 3, 1991, he married Mary Hoenisch in Wausau.

He enjoyed playing Golf, playing and coaching the Wausau Cyclones hockey

team,hunting with Jack, and riding his Harley. Jim loved whole-heartedly his

daughter, Marisa and his step-sons as his own.

He was Commander of The Sons of the American Legion Post 10.

Jim is survived by his wife; Mary Seehafer, Wausau; two step-sons, Benjamin

(Kimberly) Hoenisch, Hatley, and Jordan Hoenisch, Milwaukee; one daughter, Marisa Seehafer, Wausau; twin brother, Jack Seehafer, Wausau; one sister, Robin (Jim) Weiss, Delafield; mother-in-law, Betty Adams, Wausau, two sisters-in-law, Patty (Dan) Hull, Thorp and Judy (Steve) Pophal, Weston; one brother-in-law, John (Carrie) Adams, Wausau; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Jeanette (Heyer) Seehafer

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at St. Paul's

United Church of Christ, 426 Washington St. Wausau. Rev. Philip Schneider will officiate. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family toward a scholarship for his daughter - Marisa.

Jim was an amazing person with a heart of gold. He will be missed and be in our hearts and prayers always.
