MOSINEE (WAOW) -- Leaders at the Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee are happy to report they're seeing an increase in passengers.
According to a CWA statistical report the number of passengers increased 16% from January 2009 to January 2010.
The Airport Administrator says fuel prices last year caused a large decrease in passengers so they're excited to be back at the level they were at in 2008.
Tony Yaron, CWA Administrator says, "We're happy that we've turned and we're in positive territory now hopefully we can sustain that. It looks like perhaps our sector of the region of the economy is doing well supporting some of these increases."
The airport is adding an extra flight to Detroit because of a higher demand from passengers.
The Administrator says that parking is also up 18-percent which is good news that people are driving once again.
