MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) -- Craig Smith scored twice and Scott Gudmandson stopped 25 shots as Wisconsin beat Minnesota 3-2 Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Smith netted the game-winner late in the third period for the Badgers (22-8-4, 17-7-3), who ran their winning streak to four games. It's the first time this season that Wisconsin has won more than three straight games.
Smith also scored on the power play in the first period.
Ryan Flynn gave Minnesota (16-17-2, 11-14-2) a 1-0 lead, but Wisconsin answered on goals by Smith and Justin Schultz.
Kevin Wehrs tied it at 2:36 of the third period, but Smith broke the tie at 15:48.
Alex Kangas had 20 saves for the Gophers.
The teams conclude the season Sunday.
