MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Junior Simon Leahy scored twice in a four-goal first period, leading Milwaukee University School to a 5-3 win over Wausau West in the WIAA boys hockey state championship game Saturday.
Senior goaltender Dan Smyczek made 45 saves as the unranked Wildcats (18-7-3) won their second WIAA state title. Their first was in 2006.

The Warriors (27-2-1) pulled to within 4-3 in the third and yanked goaltender Austin Priebe with 1:02 left, but senior Alex Tesensky scored into the vacant net with 56 seconds left to seal the victory.
The Wildcats beat third-ranked Stoughton in the quarterfinals, No. 2 Green Bay Notre Dame in the semifinals and No. 1 Wausau West in the final.
Senior Mitch Borneman had two goals and an assist for the Warriors (27-2-1), who were seeking their first state title.
