Brookefield man, 48, accused of sexually assaulting teen
MILWAUKEE (AP) - A Brookfield man is being held on $500,000 cash bail stemming from charges that he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.
Sunil K. Singh, 48, is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child and one count of child enticement. The three felonies carry a maximum penalty of 105 years in prison.
The criminal complaint says Singh met the Menomonee Falls girl at a gas station over the weekend. Prosecutors say he lured her into his car, gave her alcohol and sexually assaulted her in the basement of a Wauwatosa apartment complex.
A message left for Singh's attorney Friday was not immediately returned.
Singh was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2007. Online court records say he was sentenced to 10 days in the House of Correction.
