Hersa Lora Plier, age 72, better known to all as "Peg," died on Firday March 26, 2010 at North Central Health Care in Wausau, Wisconsin.
She was born Feb. 16, 1938 in Wausau to the late Arnold W. and Hersa (Boyce) Plier.
Peg is survived by her brother, William (Carole) Boyce Plier, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; her sister, Meredith (Philip) Plier Clark, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nieces, Marsha Swayze, Ginger Gorski, and Meriwether Clark-Conners; nephew James Clark; and 17 great nieces and nephews.
Life was not always easy for Peg, but she never lost her joy in reading, her cheerful smile or her great sense of humor. She will be missed not only by her family, but by her friends as well, in particular her good friend Barbara Ritchie, her longtime volunteers, David and Darlene Lee, and the kind and caring staff of Lakeview Heights at NCHC.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. The Rev. Jerry Morris will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
