Toyota crash sends driver to hospital

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- An eastern Wisconsin woman says her Toyota Camry's sudden acceleration is to blame for a crash that sent her to the hospital.

Myrna Marseilles was parking her 2009 Camry at the YMCA in Sheboygan Falls Monday when the car lunged ahead and crashed into a wall. The 76-year-old woman fractured her sternum when the vehicle's air bag failed to deploy.

Marseille says she had her foot on the brake when the car suddenly accelerated. She says a witness can verify that her brake lights were on.

Marseille says her vehicle has already received the repairs recommended by Toyota's recall.

A Toyota spokesman tells WISN-TV the company has started an investigation.
