APPLETON (AP) -- A Minnesota man accused of sexually assaulting a girl at a Wisconsin mall faces an additional charge of impersonating a police officer.
Prosecutors in Outagamie (awt-ah-GAY'-mee) County say Jamie Lee Sames told the 13-year-old girl he was a police officer investigating shoplifting, then took her to a secluded area of the Fox River Mall near Appleton and assaulted her March 10.
An Outagamie County court commissioner ordered $250,000 cash bond Wednesday for the 35-year-old Shakopee, Minn., man. Sames is also charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement.
Police say a Green Bay couple, who were former neighbors of Sames in Minnesota, called authorities after they recognized him in store surveillance video shown by the media.
