(WAOW)-  After 33 years coaching high school wrestling....Wausau West head coach Dan Hein has decided to call it quits.

The coach said he simply wants to spend more time with his family.

Hein recently led the Warriors to the division one team state title in 2008.

And then two straight more trips to state as West went in 2009 and then this past season as well.

Hein who has led the Warriors since 1990 thought back on his time as coach earlier today.

Says Hein, "Im really proud of them and I'm gonna miss them like crazy, there's no doubt about that, I'm proud of all the wrestlers I got to coach and the families I got to be in touch with, and the great coaching staffs and our community's support of wrestling. It was a hard decision but it was the right time and I said, I won't be on your mat side next year but I'll be in your corner forever."
