DEVELOPING: Tomahawk business a complete loss after Monday fire

TOMAHAWK (WAOW)--Fire officials say they don't know what started a fire in downtown Tomahawk.

The fire started between 8:30 and 9:30 AM Monday in the ‘Cover to Cover Books and Gifts' shop. The building also houses two apartments. Everyone was able to escape.

Friends of the business owners say they have owned the building for several years.

The director of the Tomahawk Main Street program, Lori Koppelmann, says the community is already coming together to help the business owners.

The fire chief says the building is a complete loss.

Newsline 9's Meg Bonacorsi will have more details on waow.com and Newsline 9 at 5, 6 and 10.
