DEVELOPING: Greenheck to rehire more than 50 workers
by Colby Robertson
SCHOFIELD (WAOW) -- Good news for more than 50 former Greenheck employees.
Jon Krueger, VP Human Resources with the Schofield plant confirms they're hiring back the workers laid off last year.
Greenheck has been a staple in the greater Wausau community for over 60 years. They're best known for making industrial sized fans and other equipment that moves air through buildings. Late 2008 they saw a decline in the demand for products announcing layoffs to more than 300 employees.
We talked to one of the workers who was hired back. We'll hear from him coming up tonight on Newsline 9 at 5, 6 and 10.
