PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Jim Edmonds, Ryan Braun and the Milwaukee Brewers went batty Thursday, piling up 25 hits and trouncing the Pittsburgh Pirates 20-0.
The score ties the club record for largest margin of victory and sets a new record for largest margin of victory in a shutout.
Edmonds homered, doubled twice and singled. Braun homered, doubled, singled and drove in five runs and Prince Fielder hit his first home run of the season -- they were among 10 players with an RBI.
Milwaukee led 10-0 after five innings, then scored six runs in the seventh and four more in the ninth. The rout came a day after the Brewers beat up Pittsburgh 8-0.
George Kottaras also homered and Rickie Weeks scored four runs and had three hits as the Brewers won their fourth in a row.
