RACINE (AP) -- Racine police say copper thieves are targeting abandoned and empty foreclosed homes.
Officials say thieves in at least two dozen burglaries of unoccupied homes this year have ripped large sections of valuable copper pipe from the residences.
Police are asking neighbors who live near vacant and foreclosed homes to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
