Harvick wins at Talladega edging McMurray; Menard and Kenseth finish 25th and 28th
TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) -- Kevin Harvick has snapped a 115-race winless streak by nipping Jamie McMurray at the finish line at Talladega Superspeedway.
Harvick was in third on the final restart Sunday, and immediately hooked onto the rear of McMurray's bumper for the final two laps. He helped McMurray to a two-car breakaway, then bided his time as he set up the winning move.
As they closed in on the checkered flag, Harvick went low for the pass and edged McMurray in a drag-race across the finish line.
It was the first win for Harvick since the 2007 season-opening Daytona 500.
McMurray, winner of this year's Daytona 500, finished second.
