KENOSHA (AP) -- A Kenosha County judge has approved a $1.2 million settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of a man who died in a 2008 helicopter crash.
Alan Sapko was piloting the helicopter and also died in the crash. Sapko's estate will pay the family of Joan Anzalone, the passenger who died when the chopper crashed into a home in Kenosha on a foggy morning in September.
The National Transportation Safety Board ruled pilot error caused the crash. Investigators say Sapko failed to maintain proper altitude before the crash.
The five people in the house were not injured.
