GRANTON (WAOW) - Granton students see firsthand a horrifying scene caused by either texting and driving or drinking and driving.
It's part of a mock accident conducted with the help of the Granton 1st responders, Granton Fire Department, Clark County Sheriff, Clark County coroner, St. Joseph's Hospital Spirit Helicopter Squad, Geshke Funeral Home, Neillsville EMS and Mark Ramberg-Granton Constable.
Five high school students acted as victims.
After the drill, the rescue squad workers answered students' questions about their respective fields.
The students also participated in group activities focused on ways to prevent texting and driving. They also learned how to spread the word about keeping their community safe.
Special thanks to Courtney Vaughan for the pictures!
