GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers' seemingly endless search for a serviceable punter has taken center stage at their rookie orientation camp.
The two players generating the most buzz Friday weren't among the Packers' seven draft picks or members of their 11-player undrafted rookie free-agent class.
They were punters Tim Masthay, who played at Kentucky but was out of football after being released by Indianapolis last August, and Chris Bryan, who signed with the Packers in March.
Masthay spent last football season tutoring University of Kentucky student-athletes. Bryan is hoping to join Philadelphia's Sav Rocca and Arizona's Ben Graham as former Australian Rules Football players punting in the NFL. His previous experience kicking an NFL football can only be found on YouTube.
