(WAOW) - Tickets remain available for the Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour stop on May 11 at the Rhinelander Ice Arena to benefit Kindness for Kids and Pelican Fire & Rescue, the organizations said Friday.
Fans are encouraged to support the two organizations through the tailgate party. It's a great opportunity to meet Packers representatives, including Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Chad Clifton, two-time Pro Bowl safety Nick Collins, wide receiver James Jones and fullback John Kuhn. Players will participate in a question-and-answer session and sign autographs for all who attend.
Priced at $25, tickets can be purchased at Hodag BP, Rhinelander (715/362-3363); Paul's Pump-n-Pantry, Eagle River (715/479-2999); and PackerLand Plus, Minocqua (715/358-7409).
Doors to the event, located at the Rhinelander Ice Arena, open at 4 p.m., with the party running from 6 to 8:30 p.m. A flavor of famous Lambeau Field tailgating will highlight the menu. Included with admission are a souvenir, autographs, food and two beverages. Tailgate Tour t-shirts will be available for purchase. In addition, a limited number of footballs autographed by each tour member will be given away as door prizes at the event.
The team's fifth Tailgate Tour, which travels around Wisconsin to visit with fans and thank them in person for their support, also will make stops in Chippewa Falls (May 12), Reedsburg (May 13) and Milwaukee (May 14).
The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the logo "Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour" and the phrase "Touching Down in Your Community." One scheduled stop will be made during the day in each area at a site to be determined. At the visit, tour members will have the opportunity to mingle with fans. In addition to the planned stops, surprise stops will be made as the schedule allows.
