NWS says tornado spotted near Kimberly

NEENAH, Wis. (AP) -- Severe storms damaged two homes in Winnebago County and prompted tornado warnings in northeastern Wisconsin on Tuesday.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department could not immediately confirm whether a tornado was responsible for damaging the homes and flipping over a truck-mounted camper near Larson. But neighbor Ron Felty told The Post-Crescent of Appleton he saw the tornado on the ground.

A National Weather Service spotter also reported a tornado sighting near Kimberly.

A tornado also went through Harrison, Forest Junction and Brillion, the newspaper reported.

There were also reports of downed power lines, tree branches and power outages in the region. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
