WAUSAU (WAOW) -- There's no denying that moms like getting flowers, especially for Mother's Day.
The Wausau Conservatory of Music makes sure there's no shortage of roses for the day celebrating moms.
Every year, the music school holds a rose sale raising money for scholarships.
Last year, they sold more than 1,400 dozen roses. That's nearly 17,000 blooms!
All the money from the sale goes directly into the scholarship fund.
Ann Dahlke, a Rose Sale volunteer says, "We certainty hope we can sell out. Every dollar that we raise helps someone be able to enjoy their love of music and take more lessons here."
The sale goes Friday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. You can also grab a dozen roses on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
