    It was a rough night for numerous households in our area. Police say a string of Burglaries hit Weston neighborhoods early Thursday morning.

    Four young men are charged in connection to about seven burglaries and thefts. Police say the suspects took off with thousands of dollars worth of items.

VILLAGE OF WESTON (WAOW) -- Four men are in police custody following a string of burglaries and thefts in the Village of Weston.

According to a news release from the Everest Metro Police Department, items were taken from both garages and vehicles in one neighborhood at about 2:00 AM, Thursday. Some nearby residents told officials about a suspicious vehicle in the area during the time of the incidents.

After further investigation, four men -- ages 17 to 21 -- were arrested and charged with seven burglaries and eight thefts along with possessing stolen property, according to the press release.

Police say about $3,000 in stolen items and additional items that were not yet reported stolen were recovered.

Everest Metro Police say they believe they have items that residents may not realize have been taken from their property. They request anyone who believes their property has been stolen to contact them and identify it.
