WESTON (WAOW)--It was a rough night for numerous households in our area. Police say a string of Burglaries hit Weston neighborhoods early Thursday morning.

Four young men are charged in connection to about seven burglaries and thefts. Police say the suspects took off with thousands of dollars worth of items.

According to officials, they targeted garages and a car. In some cases, the doors were left open, in other cases the suspects forced entry. An officer says thieves know how to find an easy target. "They've told us, if  we come up to a vehicle that's locked, we'll go onto the next one until we find an open one. Because if they had to smash a window or break something it's going to create a noise and their chances of getting caught are much greater," says Captain Clayton Schulz of Everest Metropolitan Police Department.

Police say the men range in age from 17 to 21. The suspects allegedly stole items like a television, liquor, loose change and golf clubs. Police caught the men after people in the neighborhood reported a description of the their vehicle.

Officials say they also found stolen items that were not yet reported. If you are missing property or have any information, you are encouraged to call detectives at (715)359 4202.
