ROTHSCHILD (WAOW) -- Often times couples touched by cancer have few who understand what they're going through. This weekend, couples from all over the Midwest will gather in Rothschild for a retreat put on by thinkmarriage.org.
It's an opportunity for couples with similar stories to share their struggles, feelings and experiences of having a child or spouse with cancer.
"I have a couple whose child was diagnosed at 17 months and who is now three. The stress just alone of dealing with treatments and the timing is really different for one spouse than the other, so trying to understand those differences and how they can deal with it really strongly as a team," says Jami Kaiser, thinkmarriage.org Marathon County director.
The retreat takes place at the Rothschild Holiday Inn Friday night and Saturday.
