WAUSAU (WAOW) - The Wausau woman serving time for being high on meth while her infant son died, and later violated the probation, will not receive a reduced sentence.
Jessica Kasten violated terms of her parole when she was caught drunk driving with her surviving children. She's now serving seven years in a Fond Du Lac prison for felony child neglect.
She's not eligible to petition for early release because she needs to serve 85 percent of her sentence.
She's done 27 months or 29 percent.
Kasten wanted an earlier release so she could get into treatment programs given to offenders with earlier release dates.
