UW-San Jose State football game to be broadcast on ESPN

MADISON, Wis. (PRESS RELEASE)-- The Wisconsin football team's Sept. 11 home game against San Jose State will kick off at 11 a.m. (CT) and air live on ESPN, the Big Ten has announced.

The Badgers own a 41-24 record all-time on ESPN, including a 4-1 record last season.

Times for five of Wisconsin's 12 games for the 2010 season have now been confirmed. UW opens the season at UNLV on Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. (CT), airing live on Versus. One week after the San Jose State game, Arizona State visits Camp Randall for a 2:30 p.m. (CT) game live on ABC.

In Big Ten play, the Badgers welcome border battle rival Minnesota for Homecoming on Oct. 9 with an 11 a.m. (CT) kickoff. The following week, Oct. 16, Ohio State comes to town. That game begins at 6 p.m. and will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.

Wisconsin and San Jose State have met just once prior to this season. The Badgers topped the Spartans 56-10 in San Jose on Sept. 13, 1997, as Ron Dayne ran for 254 yards and three touchdowns.
