Bucks Take New Mexico Guard With Second Round Pick
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Bucks have taken Darington Hobson from New Mexico with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft.
The 6-foot-7 guard can play both the shooting guard and small forward positions. The Bucks' John Salmons is heading to free agency and Michael Redd is recovering from his second major knee injury in as many years.
Hobson, who is nicknamed "Butter," played three years in college and averaged 15.9 points per game in his only year at New Mexico after starting at the College of Eastern Utah.
The Bucks selected power forward Larry Sanders with the 15th pick. They also have the 44th and 47th picks remaining.
