SCHOFIELD (WAOW)--A Schofield bar aims to raise money to end drunk driving.

The Office Bar on Grand Avenue is hosting a rummage sale. Half of the profits go towards the Marathon County Safe Ride Home Program. The program offers vouchers for a free taxi ride home from numerous bar in the area.

The assistant manager at the Office says the vouchers protect the patrons as well as the bar's employees.

"Especially being right on Grand Avenue, we encourage our customers to use it a lot just because we don't want people to drive drunk and then it come back to us," says the organizer, Danielle Chahdi

Earlier this month, a prosecutor charged a Weston bartender with a misdemeanor for serving an intoxicated man who later died in a traffic crash.
