Chucks ready to face Madison; Wisconsin still in first place

By Russ Owens

(WAOW)-  The Wisconsin Woodchucks enter Tuesday coming off what will be their last off day before the Northwoods League All-Star break in the middle of July.  The Chucks still find themselves in first place, a half-game on top of second place Green Bay.  Wisconsin hits the field tonight against Madison, and the team talked earlier about their thoughts on being on top of the Northwoods League South.

Says Infielder Brandon King, "That means we're putting in a lot of hard work and we're giving our best effort out there, and our pitchers are throwing the ball really well and as hitters we're scoring early and that's a big thing."

Says Field Manager Guido Aspeitia, "This team is gonna do great things and I've said that from day one, they're good kids, they play hard, and they're gonna play for a championship."
