LANGLADE COUNTY (WAOW) -- The state patrol arrested a 30-year-old Wausau area man this weekend.  He's believed to be the driver who hit Tim Wissbrocker and left him for dead.

Wissbrocker, 26 was biking from Wausau to Antigo on Highway 64, July 5th, when the driver ran him over.  He was critically injured in the crash.

Investigators with the Wisconsin State Patrol says they found the driver, after updating the vehicle description.  At first the vehicle was said to be light silver but further investigation showed it matched a green or blue color.  That small change lead to a lead and the driver was arrested.

Newsline 9 spoke with Candice Wissbrocker this morning.  She says she's relieved an arrest has been made.  She says Tim is schedule for ankle surgery later today.  She says he's in a lot of pain, but has been updated to fair condition at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

The man accused of hitting Wissbrocker hasn't yet been formally charged.  Those charges are expected to come later today.

Newsline 9 will have a crew in court and will bring you the latest updates on Live at 5.
