WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) - Heavy wind and rain forced the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters to postpone their scheduled contest with the Green Bay Bullfrogs Wednesday night. The game will be made up as part of a double header when the Bullfrogs come back to town on Tuesday, August 3rd.
Under a steady battering of wind, clouds blackened the skies above Witter Field starting two hours prior to game time. The continued wind combined with a steady rain made postponement the only option. August 3rd's double header will feature two seven inning games between the Rafters and Frogs starting at 5:35.
The Rafters will head into the All-Star break with five games on the road. The long trip kicks off with a double-header in Green Bay Thursday.
