Wood County sees extensive storm damage

PITTSVILLE (WAOW) -- Severe thunderstorms, high winds and heavy rains swept through central Wisconsin Wednesday.

Click on the camera to the left to view storm damage in the Pittsville area. Large trees falling on cars and houses.

The corn crop virtually sideways due to high winds. The Wood County Emergency Management Division spent much of the morning assessing the damage.

They're estimating Wood County is facing about $500,000 in damages.
