Merrill man found guilty of manufacturing meth

MADISON (WAOW) -- A Merrill man has pleaded guilty to conspiring with others to manufacture methamphetamine.

Chuck Groff, 38, admitted that he helped others obtain ingredients, such as pseudoephedrine pills, used to make meth.

Groff then provided a portion of the methamphetamine he cooked as payment to the people who supplied him pseudoephedrine, according to the Department of Justice.

Groff faces up to 30 years in prison because of two prior state drug convictions.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
