(WAOW)- Wisconsin Rapids Rafter outfielder Cody Koback was the area's lone representative in last night's Northwoods League all-star game.
The UW-Stevens Point sophomore went 1 for 2 at the plate, hitting a 2-out triple in the bottom of the ninth.
His South division teammates stranded him at third, but it was a magical moment to finish the night off for the Plover native.
Says Cody Koback, "Feels good to do it against some of the better players in the league, helps confidence a little bit too, just put the bat on the ball, see if I could get in scoring position, we needed two runs, so I just put pressure on them."
Says Rafters Field Manager Scott Laverty, "That was a great job by Cody to get up there and take a first pitch fastball that he could handle and put a great swing on it."
