CHICAGO (AP) -- Pinch-hitter Jason Michaels delivered a two-out, two-run double in the top of the 12th inning Wednesday and the Houston Astros hung on to beat the Chicago Cubs 4-3 and capture two wins in the three-game series at Wrigley Field.
Antigo native Justin Berg pitched the 11th inning for Chicago, striking out Lance Berkman to start the frame. He pitched a 1-2-3 inning to maintain a 1-1 tie.
Jeff Keppinger and Chris Johnson started the 12th with consecutive singles. After Jason Castro forced Keppinger at third with a bunt back to Bob Howry (1-3), James Russell relieved and Michael Bourn's grounder moved the runners to second and third.
Michaels greeted Jeff Stevens, the seventh Chicago reliever, with a drive into the alley in left-center. Angel Sanchez's third hit of the game then drove in Michaels for a 4-1 lead.
Brandon Lyon (6-4) got the win and Gustavo Chacin survived a rocky 12th to earn the save.
