WAUSAU (WAOW)--The area's visitors center finds a new home in downtown Wausau. The Wausau/Central Wisconsin Visitor Center left its location in Rothschild for a spot near Wausau's 400 block.
The Director says the new location should attract more foot traffic.
"The types of visitors that come into our city are going to be more qualified to wanting to do things in the Wausau area. They are here to look for additional things to do and it's our opportunity to show them things to do in the 7 municipalities that we represent," says the Executive Director of the Wausau and Central Wisconsin Convention & Visitors Bureau, Darien Schaefer.
The center offers information on events, attractions, dining options and more. It's now open every day from 9:00 A. M to 5:00 P.M. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for August 10th at 11:30 A.M.
