WAKE UP WISCONSIN (PRESS RELEASE)-- We are a group of 4-H parents and 4-H staff that lead a group of kids with a love for dogs. We help the kids train their dogs in obedience, showmanship, agility and a number of other projects. We also do several community service projects throughout the year; walking dogs at a local humane society, visiting shut-ins at the nursing home and raising money for other local causes.
Wood County has been given the distinct honor of hosting the Wisconsin State 4-H dog show on July 30 - August 1, 2010 at the Marshfield Fairgrounds Park. 4-H participants will compete in events such as obedience, showmanship, quiz bowl, speaking, demonstrations and others.
The state shows are held in a different county each year and can have between 400-500 kids participating.
