(WAOW)- The Woodchucks stayed hot over the weekend with a road sweep over Waterloo, giving Wisconsin eight wins in its last ten games.
Now the Chucks enter a crucial two game set against Madison, starting tonight at Athletic Park.
The Mallards are just a half game behind Wisconsin in overall record.
There may be a lot of season still left, but the Chucks know these next two are big.
Says Field Manager Guido Aspeitia, "It's a huge series, all we can do is take care of tonight and then hopefully after these two games, we'll have a two and a half game margin and we'll see where we go from here, but we gotta come out early and throw strikes and shut them down."
Says Infielder Robbie De La Cruz, "Yeah definitely, and like I said, I think it just starts with pitching, when you get a filled house here for these home games, you'd love to see a one, two, three inning."
