Farm Aid visits Milwaukee Oct. 2

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Farm Aid will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Milwaukee.

Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews will visit Miller Park Oct. 2 for "Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America."

The all-day festival is the longest-running benefit concert in the United States. It also features family-farm identified, local and organic foods.

It will be the first Farm Aid concert to be held at a Major League Baseball stadium.

Nelson, Young and Mellencamp organized the first concert in 1985 to raise money for family farmers and draw attention to their plight. Dave Matthews joined the Farm Aid Board of Directors in 2001.

Farm Aid has raised nearly $37 million to help keep family farmers on their land.

Tickets go on sale Aug. 14 and range from $39.50 to $97.50
