"It's an important night for everybody," McCarthy said. "It's your first opportunity to get yourself closer to a real football game."

"Family night's fun because we get the fans out there and that's what makes it exciting," said Packers linebacker Brandon Chillar. "We want to show the kids a good time. The atmosphere gets a little better and it'll be a good time."

Family Night was started 10 years ago and proceeds from the event benefits Wendy's Wonderful Kids. The Packers will start the night with some on-field drills at 6:30 with an intra-squad scrimmage set to follow at 7:30 and players are excited to break up the every day routine.

"It's going to be an exciting night, it's a change of scenery," said rookie Bryan Bulaga. "You're in Lambeau, I think the intensity will be risen up a little bit just because you're in the stadium, but I think you go out there and try to execute and obviously have fun, but it's another day of work, going out there and trying to make the most of every rep."

"All the players are looking forward to it," said defensive end Cullen Jenkins. "We have something a little different, it's an opportunity to get after it in front of fans, family and it'll be fun."

Head coach Mike McCarthy said he's happy wtih the way the first week of training camp went and the Packers will get to have a little more fun tomorrow when they have their first scrimmage of the year on family night.
