Ariz. escapees believed to be in Yellowstone area

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- The manhunt for two Arizona prison escapees and their suspected accomplice is now centered in the vast Yellowstone National Park area.

Efforts to find the three intensified after one of the inmates was linked to a double homicide in New Mexico.

The U.S. Marshals Service says information developed within the past two days indicates Tracy Province, John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch may be hiding in portions of the park that span Montana and Wyoming. The agency also says investigators believe Province has separated from McCluskey and Welch.

Thomas Henman, a supervisory deputy with the Marshals Service in Phoenix says the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been advised the suspects may try to cross into Canada. The warning was issued because the three have quickly moved northward and are within several hundred miles of the border.
