Badgers open fall camp despite heat

By Russ Owens

(WAOW)-  The Wisconsin Badgers opened up fall camp on Monday afternoon at Camp Randall Stadium.  Bucky in preps before the regular season opens up on September 4th.  Despite the warm temperatures, Bret Bielema says thinks went well day one and working in the heat should prove valuable come week one.

Says Bielema, "Especially when you start looking at our first opponent, you just gotta compare our temperature to what it is at UNLV and Las Vegas. I was really hoping that we'd get this kinda stuff, maybe not to this extreme but I think it's gonna educate our guys , and because the NCAA set up the rule that you can only have one practice this week, it should work out. It affects everyone differently but I really didn't see anyone where I could say, hey, he's out of shape, I thought the guys battled through, perservered and it was a good intense practice."
