FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A Fond du Lac woman has been charged with forging court documents in a scheme to get custody of a child and his financial assets.
A criminal complaint accuses Kristine Flynn of fabricating documents to show a judge had ordered her custody of a child named Mathew Klewin and his bank accounts and other assets.
The complaint says Flynn signed the fake orders under the name of Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Judge Steven Weinke. But she allegedly misspelled his last name, and Weinke has not been an active judge since May.
The complaint says Flynn wrote a letter to acquaintances explaining the boy "has 250,000 in bank accounts" she wanted to get her hands on.
