BOWLING GREEN, Mo. (AP) -- Arraignment will be Aug. 23 for a northeast Missouri Amish man accused of sex crimes with five underage girls in two states.
The Hannibal Courier-Post reports that 26-year-old Chester Mast of Curryville waived an evidence hearing Wednesday in the Missouri case, where he faces five counts. He also faces felony charges in Wisconsin.
Mast has waived extradition to Wisconsin, but Missouri plans to prosecute first.
Authorities say three of the victims were Amish and one was a relative of Mast.
Mast is jailed on $100,000 cash-only bond.
He was arrested in May after authorities were contacted by members of the Pike County, Mo., Amish community, an "Old Order Amish" community that shuns such amenities as electricity, phones and cars.
