WAUSAU (WAOW)--Work is underway for the start of the Breanna's Smile Foundation fundraiser. The event is a memorial to Breanna Schneller the 18 year old D.C. Everest High School student found brutally murdered in her Wausau apartment in 2009. A suspect is in custody.
Saturday, August 14th a benefit concert takes place for the foundation at Coral Lanes in Rothschild. It runs from 11 am until 11 pm. Several bands, including Head East will take part.
Breanna's father talked with Newsline 9 Friday. He says the fundraiser will benefit programs that help crime victims and the Families, Career and Community Leaders of America organization. At the time of her death, Bre had been heavily involved in this organization.
